Description

This Undervoltage Release (UVR) is a highly reliable internal safety accessory engineered for the Siemens SENTRON series of molded case circuit breakers (MCCBs). Operating at a control voltage of 220-230 V DC, it provides critical protection by continuously monitoring the electrical supply. If the voltage drops below a specified safety threshold or fails completely, the UVR mechanically actuates and automatically trips the connected circuit breaker.

This fail-safe mechanism protects sensitive downstream machinery, motors, and control circuits from potentially damaging brownouts or low-voltage conditions. Additionally, the UVR provides an active safety interlock, physically preventing the circuit breaker from being switched back to the “ON” position until the required operating voltage is safely restored to the system.
